What is Geneva Lux?

Geneva Lux is a free light and art festival organized by the City of Geneva, designed to brighten winter evenings with creativity and imagination. Each year, local and international artists transform streets, squares and historic landmarks into illuminated works of art, inviting visitors to experience the city from a new perspective.

More than a festival, Geneva Lux is an invitation to slow down, wander and rediscover Geneva through light.

Each edition of Geneva Lux features around 20 light installations and performances, carefully placed throughout the city. In 2026, the festival extends further into the Old Town, with installations appearing in new locations such as rue de la Fontaine and inside St. Pierre Cathedral.
